Today, I want to share two comforting verses from the Bible. Found in Lamentations 3:22-23, these truths offer hope to anyone who reads them. They say, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
As a full-time homemaker, there are days when I wish I had a reset button. There are moments when I lose my patience, complain about the endless chores, and feel utterly exhausted. I find myself struggling to keep up, andRe my attitude doesn’t always reflect the Christian woman I strive to be. In those times, I long for a fresh start—an opportunity to begin again. And truthfully, there have been moments when I’ve declared to my family, “I’m hitting the reset button!”
Today, I want to share with you the ultimate reset button—the one given by our Heavenly Father. As the verses above remind us, the Lord’s mercies are never-ending and are new every morning. What a beautiful truth to hold onto.
The revelation of God’s unending mercies deeply impacted me during my time teaching at a local Christian school. Early in my career, I witnessed how grace and mercy guided the responses to mistakes, whether made by a child or a staff member. It was ingrained in both the employees and the student body that Jesus offers forgiveness and a fresh start to all His children, at all times. This doesn’t mean that wrongdoing should be ignored or overlooked. Yes, when we fail, we should seek to apologize and take steps toward better actions in the future. But it does mean that Jesus is always there, ready to offer love and forgiveness.
Dear reader, I hope this brings you the same comfort and peace it brings me. Know that when you make a mistake, your Heavenly Father is there to offer mercy. He delights in offering His love and comfort to you. Let the Lord wrap you in His mercy and faithfulness.
Reflection and Path to Action:
In what moments do you find yourself searching for a reset button?
How can you better respond in these moments to serve everyone involved?
Reflect on Lamentations 3:22-23, and store these truths in your heart.
